Since I started using Joomla! few years ago, I choose JCE to be my main html editor. Actually I prefer wordpress content editor :P. Anyway, I was using JCE Component 1.5.6 + Editor 1.5.2 for a while, because I have found some bugs in Editor 1.5.3, then I skipped this version. Now the latest version of JCE is Component 1.5.7 + Editor 1.5.4 which now come in single installer packgage, and the good thing is you can upgrade directly and no need to uninstall the previous version, that's great!
Update Status
Hey I still got bug from editor-xtd-buttons similar to 1.5.3, but this is worse!
- Image button doesn't work at all on Firefox, Chrome, Safari
- Read more button also doesn't work, but different actions on different browsers
Then I recheck again in download section of JCE Website, you will find editor patch for version 1.5.4 to fix this problem. There is editor.zip file and you can extract and replace the file: plugins/editors/jce/libraries/js/editor.js.
