Happy New Year to all folks. Today I just arrived Tel Aviv, Israel. What? I have to come here again? Yeah, I come here for technical meeting again. OMG... T.T. This is a nice place but terrible security check in the airport. And 10 days here is such a lonely time.
Fortunately, my room got complimentary free access to internet for 2 hours everyday. Anyway, it's gone very fast... lol. The access speed to my ibualoy also pretty slow.
Quite a nice landing in the nice morning
The flight was 30 minutes delay from Bangkok. Anyway, when I arrived, the weather is very good, 13 degree, clear blue sky with a nice sunshine in the morning.
Hotel Room
I arrived the hotel 8:30 am. Fortunately, the room was included breakfast for today then I relaxed in the room, have a nice moring breakfast, and went to slept at noon.
Unpack the Lugguage with a BIG QUESTION MARK???
When enter to the room, I bring all my stuffs in place, open the big lugguage............... WTF!!! why the computer cables are outside the bags!!! There must be somebody opened my lugguage... ofcourse for security check, no any stuff missing, but how they can open it? I just checked in at the EL AL check-in counter in BKK Airport. For sure, my lugguage has been loaded into the conveying belt system. (I guess that it should be delivered to the famous CTX inspection system). Usually, Israeli Security Officers will open my lugguages and random check many items in front of me (and they asked me to open my own lugguages). But I didn't expected that they didn't check before I checked in. But they checked afterward!?!?! How? When? Why?...........
Experience nice sunshine morning and naughty stroming afternoon
I fell a sleep after nice hotel breakfast with a scenic beach view, and then I woke up with storming noise at 13:30... gosh... I planed to have some shopping in the afternoon. I jump off my bed and prepare to go out before the rain has come. Suddenly, my hotel was fully rain for an hour. I stucked in the room until 2 pm, the rain has gone but still dizzling. I decided to walk pass through the rain to buy some food for tonight and tomorrow.
1st Meal in the Room
I came back from shopping at 3 pm... the rain has gone... Anyway, today is Friday, it's a Shabbat Day, all the shop will close during Shabbat... they will close from Friday 3 pm and the Saturday whole day. Ofcourse, some restaurant will open, but actually I also like to diet as well... :P
I have not much thing to do in the room... just watch the TV. Then I feel a bit hungry... OMG... I plan for diet but I feel hungry since 4 pm!!! then I make some soup with some snack that I bought from the supermarket. Hey the soup is not bad! Or may be because I'm hungry... lol
The Kick Off Meeting has begun
This is my 3rd time in Israel, actually, i'm not that exciting. didn't really take a lot of pictures. My 1st time I came here is for classroom training as a service technician. But the 2nd and 3rd time are Kick Off Meeting. It's an annual technical support meeting, the technicians all over the world are sitting together and speak what they faced, and what's the problem on site, all the interesting case studies, new features that will launch in this year, and so on.
There are 2 major groups of technicians, one is Europe team and another one is US team. Usually, they stick together with their own region. Last time there are only 2 asian people, me and indian guy. But this year we have one more guy from China.
Israeli Food
Most of the meals, we were in big group. It not nice to take a picture all the time during haveing meal among people. Anyway, I got some new pictures for that... hehe. One is Falafel, deep fried vegetable ball in a pita bread. The next one is... shashuka... just like panned egg (ไข่กระทะ) hahaha...
Meeting or Party?
During this week, the company provide dinner for 2 nights, and one full day social activities on Thursday. Actually, this meeting is not such a serious meeting. Just let's employees all around the world meet each other and enjoy during stay, more or less like a bonus.
First company dinner, we went to Brew House in Tel Aviv. You know... the most popular marketing sentence is... only one place in Israel... There is only one brew house restaurant in Israel... It looks nice... but there are only 6.5 million people here... hahaha. I do not drink alcohol, so I just drank only grape juice all the night. On the second dinner, now we splited into 2 groups, European and US teams. They considered me as European group. Then we went to TAPEO restaurant in Herzliya. The taste is so so, cannot compare with Brew House, but the waitress is very beautiful... hahahaha.
On last day, Thursday, we have a social activity outdoor in north of Israel, very close to border of Lebanon and Syria. In the Morning, we transport from the hotel by bus to north and have a breakfast in the milk farm. Then we went to Agmon-Hola (wetlands). We have the frisbee team competition (flying disc that usually we can see in American movies) in the morning and after that, we went to bird sight-seeing in the Agmon-Hola swamp. This place is the stopping station of migrating birds all over the world, that travel from north to south or from south to north in every season. Then we go to have a Laser Gun combat in the jungle. It similar to paint ball, but the gun is working by infrared, and we can shoot the opponent's gun to kill them. We split into 2 team, approx 20 people on each side, and we have to destroy the opponent's base, and defense our base. This game is very fun, if we play a fair game. hehe.
